Hyundai launches i10 LPG variant

Hyundai India launched their all new i10 LPG variant called the i10 Blue Drive. Hyundai i10 LPG will be available in two of their models, 1.1 Magna and 1.1 Era. With their initiative to promote eco-friendly and non-polluting transport, country's second largest car making company the LPG version of the Hyundai i10. The all-new LPG version will be available at an additional cost of Rs. 27,630, in comparison to the existing petrol version.

This model comes with a factory-fitted LPG kit that has a 34-litre LPG tank while the conventional petrol tank has a 35-litre capacity. According to Hyundai, the LPG-kit is ARAI certified and is impact resistant as well. It is also certified by DOE (Department of Explosives). The LPG-kit is also backed by a two year warranty. Announcing the launch, Mr H W Park, MD and CEO, HMIL said, “The LPG version of our Next Gen i10 is a viable alternative for customers looking at low running cost. With the launch of the i10 Blue Drive, Hyundai is broadening its eco-friendly initiative. Hyundai believes in preserving the environment by making eco-friendly cars that run on low emission fuels."

The i10 Blue Drive is priced at Rs 4.2 lakh for the Era while the Magna LPG variant is priced at Rs 4.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Lamborghini launches Aventador LP700 in India at Rs 3.69 crore

India is certainly making their presence felt at every segment of the market – here we are talking about the Automobile Market. With all international automobile companies eyeing India as one of the hot selling markets, Italian luxury sports car-maker Automobili Lamborghini SpA on Thursday launched its latest model, the 'Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4', priced at Rs 3.69 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), in the country.

 "India is an emerging market for sports cars, which is evident from the successful Formula 1 race event. We have already received 20 bookings for the Aventador," Automobili Lamborghini SpA Marketing Manager, South-East Asia and Pacific, James Page said.

The Murcielago replacement is Lamborghini’s most powerful offering yet and boasts of a 6.5-litre V12 motor which belts out 700ps (691bhp). All that power is transmitted to all four wheels via a seven-speed transmission. The Aventador uses new-generation reinforced carbon fiber which has been developed with help from Boeing Aerospace. As a result the Aventador weighs just 1578kg, which is lighter than the Murcielago by about 100kg. The Aventador can give a top speed of up to 350 km per hour.

As we shared the news earlier of its Global launch here at Car Adda in March this year at Geneva Motor Show, this supercar has now arrived in India and during its India launch Page said, “The car was launched globally in March this year and so far, we have received 1,500 orders worldwide. In India, people have to wait for about 18 months to get the delivery of their car”.

Indian customers eyeing this supercar can also start thinking of taking an owner-training programme being conducted by Lamboghini at the Buddh International Circuit, Indian F1 track.
