Most eagerly awaited the all-new Nissan Sunny has now being officially launched for the mid-size segment in India. This is the second offering from the Japanese manufacturer.
Launched at the 2010 eighth International Automobile Exhibition in China (Guangzhou) last December, where it received the ‘Best World Premier’ award, Nissan SUNNY would be manufactured on the consummate V-platform & will be available in the domestic market from the beginning of October, 2011. Available at 45 Nissan dealerships across the country, the Sedan can be booked from September 21, 2011 and the delivery would start from October 03, 2011. The SUNNY with a 16.95 kmpl of fuel economy will be available to customers across the country without any waiting period for delivery.
Currently, the Nissan Sunny will come only in the petrol version powered by a 1.5 litre equipped with Variable Timing Control makes 99 PS of power at 6000 rpm with a 134 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The petrol mill is capable of delivering a decent mileage 16.95 kilometers to a litre.

The XE is priced at Rs 5.78 lakh. It gets body-coloured bumpers, an on-board drive computer, manually adjustable anti-dazzling mirror, headlight-on and key-inserted warning lamp, ABS, EBD and Brake Assistance, Driver Airbag and Door Ajar warning.
The petrol variant of the Sunny will be manufactured at the Renault-Nissan alliance Oragadam facility in Chennai. Bookings will start from September 21, 2011, with deliveries commencing on October 3, 2011.
