Such has been the popularity of the small coupe car, that the company has launched numerous limited editions symbolizing various ideas. Now with the 2012 London Olympics nearing, the company has introduced 3 limited edition models to celebrate the occasion. Available in 3 different color and 4 different model options, this limited edition is a sure shot way to display patriotism and pride.
MINI is now an official partner to Team GB and the Paralympics GB Team on their journey to the London2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
This 2012 special limited edition run will be limited to the MINI Cooper,Cooper D, Cooper S & the Cooper SD trims and will come in the Union Jack themed colors Chilli Red, White Silver or Lightning Blue. From feature perspective, these models would have seat headrests, the 17-inch sporting alloy wheels, white colored top ceilings with2012 London Olympics logo, and the black leather seats which will bear the stitched and colored version of the sporting event’s monogram.
The pricing options for them are as follows:
· Cooper Hatch- $27,842(£17,800)
· Cooper D Hatch- $29,845(£19,080)
· Cooper S Hatch- $31,477(£20,125)
· Cooper SD Hatch- $32,629(£20,860)
The production of these models has started, and delivery shall begin in the 1st half of 2012.
In order to launch it in a very unique way, keeping in mind the London 2012 Olympic Games, Mini parked three examples of the all-new limited-edition Cooper side-by-side then enlisted the help of England Long Jump Champion J.J. Jegede who jumped over three Mini cars painted in a special edition design welcoming next year’s world event.
